Today’s Electronic Artist spotlight is Matan Zohar, better known as Mat Zo. He is only 23, but in a short amount of time, Mat Zo has managed to become #66 in the 2010 DJ Magazine Poll and create a #1 Beatport release with the song “Easy,” which Porter Robinson and Mat Zo teamed up to produce.
Mat Zo is a producer that has it all: he knows how to produce killer tracks, knows music theory, and can even play the guitar. He is also a well-rounded producer in the sense that he can produce multiple genres of EDM.
Under the alias MRSA, Mat Zo also produces drum and bass, and has released an album called “Sick Music” under Hospital Records. It is more Liquid DnB, which encompasses his trance and progressive house roots with beautiful chords and uplifting melodies, all over a breakbeat tempo. The beautiful vocals he uses encompass so much meaning; the amount of heart and emotion he puts into each of his songs can make any person cry. His song “Different” is one of the best examples of a song that can make you feel like a child again (this is the best way I can describe the feeling you will get).
He occasionally contributes songs to Armada Music, Above & Beyond’s label Anjunabeats, and Astralwerks. He is getting ready for his Damage Control Tour starting on November 5. This tour includes many stops in California, Texas, Florida, Australia, and a few other states including Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. If you can get out and see him, do so. You will not be disappointed!
Cheers!

Awesome blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it
from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out.
Please let me know where you got your theme. Bless you

I personally designed my template, but I use WordPress for my blogging. You can customize a lot within WordPress, although it may cost some money. But personally, I like the way my site is set up. You can also purchase the domain name for around $18, which makes your site look more professional.
Hope this helps!

Very good blog you have here but I was wondering if
you knew of any community forums that cover the same topics discussed in this article?
I’d really love to be a part of group where
I can get suggestions from other knowledgeable people that share the
same interest. If you have any recommendations,

Funny you should mention that, because I’m in the process of creating another blog called edmproducerforum.com where people will be able to discuss EDM and trance and whatever production techniques they come across. But, to answer your question, there is EDMfacts on Facebook, along with many communities on reddit.com, specifically r/WeAreTheMusicMakers/ and r/FL_Studio. There are also many other blogs out there that share my passion for electronic music, along with many videos on YouTube.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
